Job Summary
Conduct daily clinical and administrative operations in the ambulatory setting, including patient preparation, vital signs collection, and EMR entry. Perform office testing, administer vaccines and medications, and conduct phlebotomy while maintaining infection control standards. Manage patient registration, eligibility checks, and appointment scheduling, plus handle phone triaging and prior authorizations. Stock rooms, monitor supply expiration, and perform required chaperoning duties. Work per diem with per diem pay.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- No prior experience required
- Education from approved medical assistant program
- One to three years of medical assistant experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- Certified Medical Assistant Certification
- Phlebotomy certification
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- Must complete a background check before beginning employment
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Must be vaccinated against flu
