Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed at Providence Medical Group Centerville location. Responsibilities include rooming patients, measuring vital signs, completing patient interviews and histories, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting with procedures, carrying out treatments and tests, setting up equipment and treatment rooms, collecting samples (blood, urine, sputum) and performing routine laboratory tests, and handling administrative/clerical duties. Requires excellent communication, attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask, knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and ability to draw blood; certification or registration preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant in a physicians office
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program
- State or national certification preferred
