Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant role, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain full competence in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic or location of work. Complete required training within 30 days of hire, including National Provider BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Equivalent education or experience to the above
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant
- Experience obtaining vital signs
- Experience administering injections
- Experience with medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification within 30 days of hire
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
