Job Summary
Medical Assistant II position supporting patient care under licensed practitioner delegation. Performs duties in line with the Associate Medical Assistant role and established clinic/location policies and procedures; requires hands-on clinical training and a current BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities include clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, along with other MA duties as directed to support patient care. Eligible candidates are graduates of accredited medical assistant programs or MA apprenticeships, or those with equivalent US healthcare training and experience (including military medical training).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
