Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role with full competence in the assigned clinic's clinical needs, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Complete required training within 30 days of hire, including National Provider BLS certification, and maintain six months of healthcare and six months of medical assistant experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
