Medical Assistant

Under the direction of the Clinic Supervisor, assists medical staff in examination and treatment of patients; maintains exam and treatment rooms, operates medical equipment, and gives injections and/or treatments. Maintains supply/inventory for exam room, processes referrals/lab/x-ray as needed, logs patient information, and supports timely patient flow. Greets and assesses patients, takes medical histories, vital signs, and prepares patients for procedures. Acts as liaison between doctor and patient, ensuring accurate charting and documentation. Requires knowledge of injection levels and procedures for adults and children, universal precautions and bloodborne pathogens, and ability to document vital signs and chief complaints clearly. EPIC experience preferred; 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred; vaccination requirement for employees. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment are essential.
