Job Summary

Conduct clinical research activities by performing administrative and clinical tasks under supervision. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information while collecting and processing laboratory specimens per IATA requirements. Perform basic CLIA-waived and Point of Care tests, prepare and administer medications as delegated, and maintain examination room equipment and inventory. Schedule participant appointments, manage clinical calendars, and assist in recruitment through pre-screening and community events. Maintain accurate patient records, ensure regulatory compliance with GCP and IRB requirements, and participate in monitoring visits and audits. Work after hours, weekends, and rotating on-call shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and key stakeholders in a professional and constructive manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment and matrix organization

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Previous experience in a clinical or research setting
  • Proficiency in electronic source documentation (e-Source) and electronic Investigator Site File (eISF) systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
