Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a PRN position to assist physicians in patient care, prepare patients for exams or treatment by taking patient history, vitals, and performing phlebotomy. Responsibilities include documenting patient care in the medical records system, organizing and cleaning rooms, and handling administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, possess 2 years of experience, and be knowledgeable about HIPAA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 2 years experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- Knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements
- Rotating weekend coverage
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
- OB/GYN experience preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Proficiency in keyboarding
- Experience with electronic medical records
