Job Summary
PRN Float Medical Assistant provides clinical support across Urology Austin locations, assisting physicians and providers with patient care and clinical tasks to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality service during staff absences, high-volume periods, or special projects. Responsibilities include escorting patients, obtaining vitals and medication lists, assisting with exams and procedures, performing phlebotomy and lab processing, stocking and sanitizing exam rooms, maintaining compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards, accurately recording patient data in EMR, and coordinating with site managers on daily priorities and coverage needs. Requires a Medical Assistant program certification and CMA/RMA/CCMA credential, HS diploma, and valid driver's license; prior clinical experience and EMR proficiency are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Certification of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Reliab le transportation and valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications
