Job Summary
PRN Float Medical Assistant provides clinical support across Urology Austin locations, assisting physicians and providers with patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, lab processing, and EMR documentation while maintaining room readiness and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA standards. Responsibilities include escorting patients, assisting with exams and procedures, ensuring supplies and rooms are stocked and sanitized, and coordinating coverage during staff absences or high-volume periods. Must be a high school graduate with MA program certification and current CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials; proficiency in EMR and Microsoft Office, strong communication and multitasking skills, and reliable transportation are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- One or more years of MA experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
