Job Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering quality patient care as defined by Heart of Florida Health Center, performing tasks such as greeting patients, recording vital signs, assisting with immunizations and lab draws, maintaining examination rooms, and managing medical records. The role requires effective communication skills, knowledge of patient privacy rights, and the ability to perform various in-office procedures. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a current BLS certificate, and preferred certifications and experiences such as state certification, Spanish fluency, and medical office experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS Certificate from an accredited AHA or American Red Cross provider
Desired Qualifications
- State of Florida MA/ CNA Certification preferred
- Spanish fluency is preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- One (1) year of medical office, clinic, or hospital experience is preferred
