Job Summary
Coordinate patient care and administrative support for the interventional pain management team by rooming patients, obtaining vitals, processing messages, and scheduling follow-ups. Perform basic triage, recognize urgent situations, and prepare patients for procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality and infection control protocols. Manage lab and x-ray reports, authorize medications, and ensure organized inventory of procedure room supplies. Travel to the Granbury Office on a rotation schedule with reliable transportation required.
Required Qualifications
- Pain Management experience
- Reliable Transportation
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols
- Must be able to maintain an organized work area
- Must be able to perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management
- Must be able to effectively cope with typical job stress
- Must be able to document work processes as required
- Must be able to prepare patients with all clinical and administrative information needed for surgery as directed by the physician
- Must be able to follow safety and infection control procedures at all times by maintaining individual protective protocols to radiation exposure
- Must be able to maintain all procedure room supplies and inventory including inspecting current stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders
