Job Summary
Medical Assistant at PrimeCare Medical for Washington County Jail in Washington, PA. Full-Time Nights 6pm-6:30am with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include initial intake screening, taking vital signs, completing intake forms, preparing examination areas, phoning verification of medications, obtaining lab specimens including venipunctures, performing treatments ordered by a Physician, maintaining medication records, administering tuberculin skin testing on intakes and annual follow-ups, typing reports, answering calls, maintaining filing/confidentiality, following universal precautions, and on-the-job training/shadowing with nursing staff. Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant course completion with diploma/degree
- Effective communication skills
- Pleasant telephone manner
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Working knowledge of office and medical equipment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
