Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant sought to support the medical department at PrimeCare Medical within the Greensburg, PA facility. Responsibilities include performing initial intake screening, taking vital signs, completing intake forms, preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas, phoning verification of medications and medical information, obtaining lab specimens (including venipunctures), performing treatments as ordered, maintaining medication records, administering tuberculin skin testing for new and returning inmates/patients, typing reports and memoranda, answering phones, maintaining filing systems and confidentiality, and following universal precautions. The role requires multitasking with strong patient assessment skills, clerical experience, and proficiency with office and medical equipment and terminology. Eligible candidates should hold Medical Assistant Certification or have completed an MA program diploma and possess effective communication and a pleasant telephone manner.
