Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed at PrimeCare Medical, Inc. to work full-time in the medical department at Butler County Prison in Butler, PA. Responsibilities include initial intake screening of new patients, taking vital signs, preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas, phoning verification of medications and medical information, obtaining lab specimens (including venipunctures), performing treatments ordered by a physician, maintaining medication records, administering tuberculin skin testing for inmates/patients, typing reports, and ensuring confidentiality and universal precautions. On-the-job training with a 2-week orientation before start. Benefits include health care, 401k, PTO, and overtime/shift differential opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Currently hold an active Medical Assistant Certification
- Effective communication skills
- Pleasant telephone manner
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
