Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a primary care setting (Amity/West Haven area) performing both clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities include patient intake and charting in EHR, collecting vital signs, assisting physicians with patient care, coordinating schedules and referrals, processing recalls, managing patient education and test preparations, maintaining inventory and supplies, and completing related clerical tasks such as forms (FMLA/Short-term Disability) and documentation. Must have high school diploma or GED, completed medical assisting program, and 1–5 years of experience. Strong computer/EHR skills, excellent verbal/written communication, attention to detail, and multi-tasking ability are required. Flu vaccine is a consideration; travel to Derby possible. Hours are Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm with rotating Saturday mornings."
Required Qualifications
