Job Summary
Interview patients, obtain vital signs, and document information in the patient record. Prepare treatment rooms, drapes patients, and position instruments as directed by the supervising physician. Administer injections, perform CLIA waived laboratory testing, and conduct ear lavage while maintaining proper sterile technique. Safely operate medical equipment, obtain test results, and reinforce patient education under written authorization. Maintain par levels of supplies, clean patient care equipment, and ensure exam rooms are clean and organized. Schedule appointments, take payments, and handle reception tasks when time permits. Complete all assigned tasks daily while accurately maintaining Electronic Medical Records.
Required Qualifications
- current Nevada Laboratory Assistant license obtained within ninety-(90) days of employment within job classification
- A willingness to be trained on-the-job in duties not previously learned
- Experience as medical assistant in a medical office, working in a clinical setting with patients and handling charts
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- familiarity with medical documents and medical chart components
