Job Summary
Medical Assistant/MA-C role in Primary Care supporting administrative and clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating information in EPIC, taking patients' vital signs; MA II operates under licensed practitioner delegation and performs duties in line with established policies to assist in patient care across the clinic/location. The position emphasizes teamwork, pathways to leadership for MAs, and alignment with Providence Swedish Health Services' patient-focused, whole-person care culture.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 6 months Healthcare experience.
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.
