Job Summary
Clean the clinical environment, stock supplies, and perform phlebotomy while preparing specimens for transport. Take vital signs, prepare patients for procedures, and assist with patient flow. Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, assist with billing, and update the electronic medical record. Requires high school diploma, medical assisting program graduation, six months healthcare experience, and one year primary care experience. BLS certification is required; Medical Assistant Certification or EMT is preferred. Schedule includes on-call rotation. VHC Health is a top-ranked hospital in Northern Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of healthcare experience
- One year of medical terminology experience
- Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard
- Experience in clinical pharmacology
- BLS certification
