Job Summary
Escort patients to examination rooms, interview for medical histories, and record vital signs, medications, and allergies in the EHR. Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and complex tasks while establishing sterile fields and performing minor interventions like phlebotomy and injections. Prepare treatment rooms, maintain sterile supplies, and ensure equipment functionality. Collect laboratory specimens, process prescription refills, and document all results accurately. Direct patient calls, respond to messages, and notify providers of urgent concerns or abnormal test results. Adhere to infection control standards and participate in quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Certified/Licensed MA
- CNA
- EMT
- LPN
- Associates degree or higher in healthcare
- One - Two years of experience in medical practice or clinical setting
- CPR Certification
- Computer skills preferably to include knowledge of EMR, MS Office applications
- knowledge of organization EMR
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team based environment
- current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care/contact for patients in the following age groups: Neonate (0 thru 30 days), Infant (31 thru 12 months), Child (13 months thru 12 years), Adolescent (13 years thru 17 years), Adult (18 years thru 65 years), Geriatric (66+ years)
- knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
- ability to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- ability to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/department's policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications
