Job Summary
Conduct clinical and administrative patient-related duties alongside physicians and care team members, including gathering, organizing, and documenting healthcare data to ensure smooth patient flow. Perform required Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) responsibilities while managing varying shifts across multiple sites as assigned. Maintain strong written and verbal communications skills, with bilingual capability and phlebotomy competency preferred for specific departments. Work a standard 40-hour week within the 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule at John Muir Health's network of primary care sites and medical centers in Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano Counties.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant Program - Accredited
- 1 year Ambulatory
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Certification
- Completion and documentation of California requirements with demonstrated competency for venipuncture/phlebotomy - (required for specific departments)
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- CMA - Certified Medical Assistant
- Specialty areas may have additional requirements
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills

- Travel to various sites

- Pay Range: $32.87 - $44.38 Hourly
- Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure
- Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area
- Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting
