Medical Assistant - Primary Care

Job Summary
Room patients, interview and update chief complaints and medical histories, take vitals, and prepare patient charts a week in advance. Scan documents to appropriate charts, refill medications as directed by a physician, and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination. Ensure physicians are in-network and verify referrals, assist with wound care and procedures, and follow up on calls to document logs. Educate patients on labs and referrals, schedule upcoming appointments, and distribute faxes to team members. Maintain clean, stocked rooms before, during, and after clinic hours. Requires Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with two years+ experience; must be bilingual in Urdu/Hindi. Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
- Must be bilingual in Urdu/Hindi
Desired Qualifications
- Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
