Job Summary
Provide clinical and supportive services to patients, providers, and staff by greeting visitors, verifying insurance information, collecting specimens, administering injections and vaccines, and preparing for exams including vital signs. Enter data into state databases and electronic health records, perform screening procedures per provider guidelines, and relay instructions to patients. Assist with specific practice procedures, participate in daily practice huddles, and follow IMG workflow guidelines. Maintain a pleasant professional image while demonstrating compassion and empathy. Plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks in a timely manner. This role supports Inspira Health Network's mission in the Primary Care Clarksboro location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Medical assistant diploma and certification from an accredited vocational institution or a community college
- Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registry
- Active AHA Healthcare Provider CPR/ BLS certification
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks in a timely manner
- Must maintain a pleasant and professional image and demonstrate compassion and empathy when dealing with others
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a Medical Practice
- Phlebotomy and EKG experience
- Experience with drug administration, specifically with vaccine and medication injections
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
