Medical Assistant - Primary Care | $1500 Sign-On Bonus!

Job Summary
Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients and determine urgency of medical needs. Perform basic clinical procedures including taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, phlebotomy, and assisting with minor medical procedures. Administer prescription medications under supervision, adhering to state regulations for dosage and administration. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Engage patients professionally to address inquiries, explain treatment plans and medication instructions, and offer guidance on lifestyle modifications and preventive care. Collaborate with the clinical team to relay patient updates and assist with discharge planning. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm in a four-day rotation model, supporting the training of new team members within ConvenientMD's Advanced Primary Care model.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Medical Assisting certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Medical Assisting certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Full-time availability during clinic operating hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Ability to work from 7:15am to 5:15pm, including time for opening and closing procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience with or ability to learn NextGen as well as other business systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting
