Job Summary
The Medical Assistant - Podiatry role supports podiatry care across nursing home facilities by traveling with healthcare teams to clinics, setting up the clinic before the doctor arrives, checking in with facilities, and helping transport and prepare residents for foot exams. You will assist the physician with patient preparation and administrative duties, coordinate with facility staff, and navigate driving routes (up to 3-hour radius) with occasional overnight lodging for longer trips. This part-time position in the St. Louis, MO area emphasizes attention to detail, patient-centered support for the elderly, effective communication, and teamwork. Domestic travel, mileage reimbursement, and paid time for driving beyond normal commute time are included. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, caregiver or nursing-home experience is a plus, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver or within a nursing home setting is a plus
- Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in the last 5 years
- Excellent attention to detail
- Patience and compassion for the elderly
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem Solving—the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely and proactive manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully
- Customer Service—the individual manages difficult client/customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitments

- Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
- Able to work in team environment
- Active Driver’s License with clean record
