Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a podiatry practice supporting clinical workflow: prepare patients for examination, take vitals, update medical records, assist in exam rooms, manage pre-charting, administer injections or immunizations within state guidelines, maintain clinical supplies, dispose of waste per protocol, coordinate with providers and care team on discharge, labs, and follow-up care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives; duties include administrative tasks (check-in/check-out), vaccination temperature logs, and ongoing collaboration with the care team to ensure accurate documentation and patient education.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program
- Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred
- BLS/CPR: Current or within 60 days of hire; through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
