Job Summary
Assist providers with patient care, chart management, scheduling appointments, and in-office procedures while conveying a positive image of the medical office. Perform patient transfers, collect specimens, prepare for exams, and chart patient history. Manage medical records, obtain lab reports, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments. Set up instruments, clean exam rooms and equipment between visits, and maintain sterilizer records. Respond to emergency codes and share patient or staff problems with supervisors. Based in Boardman, OH with potential travel to other Mahoning County offices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of medical assisting program
- Minimum of one-year work experience in public contact job
- Preferable in a medical office environment
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification (CMA/ RMA/ ABR-OE)
