Job Summary
Coordinate patient flow, manage charting, and facilitate smooth transitions between consult, exam, and procedure rooms while escorting patients throughout the clinic. Perform point-of-care glucose testing, hemoglobin analysis, injections, and routine laboratory tests, documenting all results in the EHR. Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies and equipment are stocked for minor procedures. Answer telephone inquiries, explain clinic processes and fee schedules, and assist clients with intake forms and medical history. Monitor vital signs, schedule ordered tests, and verify insurance requirements for lab referrals. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance, manage sharps containers, and address patient grievances per policy.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate
- Current CPR Certification
- Valid California driver's license
- State mandated automobile insurance
- Access to automobile
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Familiarity with the Hispanic culture
- Work schedule including evenings, overtime, and weekends
- Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure of deadlines
- Ability to meet tight time sensitive deadlines
- Motivation and commitment to the provision of high-quality healthcare for indigent and underserved communities
- Willingness to adapt to changes with regards to the agency's growth and expansion
- Ability to speak Spanish
- Willingness to travel
- Schedule shift Tuesday to Saturday
