Job Summary
Perform duties as directed by a licensed practitioner to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients through both administrative and clinical tasks. Obtain vital signs, administer injections, and handle medication administration while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to support assigned clinic or location needs, with full competency required for all aspects of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Coursework/Training and Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant

- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months of Healthcare experience
- 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
- Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
Desired Qualifications
- Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
- 6 months of previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR)
