Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will assist in coordinating patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers, prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document patient information, perform back office testing, assist with examinations, and provide follow-up communication with patients. Qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of related experience, CPR certification, and necessary background clearances. Certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire. Preferred candidates will have an Associate's Degree.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or 1 year in a direct patient care role
- CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Certification from NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA after hire if not previously certified
