Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Planned Parenthood of Florida in Kissimmee health center. Responsibilities include conducting patient intake with medical and social histories, STI screenings and point-of-care testing; educating patients on birth control options and pregnancy-related services; preparing exam rooms and assisting with basic clinical tasks and lab work; maintaining patient records with confidentiality; and supporting health-center operations through collaboration and accountability. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience (relevant experience in medical care and reproductive rights helpful); strong communication, organization, and ability to discuss sexuality and pregnancy options respectfully; proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience or equivalent
- Experience in medical care and reproductive rights helpful
- Experience dealing with the public
- Must have strong understanding of reproductive rights and Planned Parenthood goals
- Must be comfortable discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy options
- Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred
- Background screening: Level 2 background screening through Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as a condition of employment
