Job Summary
Medical Assistant responsibilities include patient intake (medical and social histories), STI screenings and point-of-care testing, educating patients on birth control options and pregnancy-related services, preparing and sanitizing exam rooms, assisting with basic clinical tasks and lab work, maintaining patient records with confidentiality, supporting daily health-center operations through collaboration, and showing commitment to Planned Parenthood values. The role requires Level 2 background screening and a strong ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent
- Experience in dealing with the public
- Must be comfortable discussing sexuality, contraception, pregnancy options
- Strong understanding of reproductive rights and Planned Parenthood goals
