Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant at Piedmont Urgent Care, you will provide hands-on patient care, including patient preparation, triage, taking vital signs, and documenting patient history in the EMR system. Responsibilities include collecting lab specimens, administering medications and injections, performing clinical procedures, and assisting with Occupational Medicine services. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and maintain quality assurance programs. Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and possess at least 1 year of relevant experience, along with proficiency in necessary clinical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in urgent care or ER setting
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR software
Additional Requirements
- Must be flexible in scheduling and willing to travel to other locations as needed
