Job Summary
Conduct administrative and clinical tasks including maintaining patient records, preparing examination rooms, and assisting physicians with exams. Take vital signs, update medications and allergies in medical records, and perform medical procedures such as specimen collection and lab testing. Work Monday through Friday with no evenings or weekends across various clinic locations on the North side, South Hill, Valley, and Downtown. Maintain Washington Medical Assistant Certification and National Provider BLS within 30 days of hire. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant
- Obtaining vital signs
- Administering injections
- Medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months of healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
- Washington Medical Assistant Registration
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months - Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment
- 6 months - Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR)
