Job Summary
Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions, set up and stock blood drawing stations, and ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs. Document patient care services via daily logs, electronic medical records, and outside laboratory forms while entering labs and printing labels. Check patients in and out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments for fertility patients. Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain height and weight, assist with procedures, and clean and stock rooms according to OSHA guidelines. Maintain patient medical records through electronic systems. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Mountain Time with weekend and holiday rotations. Compensation ranges from $20 to $22 per hour commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- High school diploma
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a certified or formal medical training program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
