Job Summary
Locate patients, obtain vital signs, triage, and assess medical conditions to prepare individuals for physician and nurse exams. Perform phlebotomy procedures, order lab and x-ray supplies, and communicate symptoms while notifying staff when patients are ready. Assist with patient treatment, sterilize instruments, restock rooms, and maintain cleanliness per OSHA guidelines. Operate medical equipment, complete assigned checklists, and attend staff meetings. Be available to assist during breaks or emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum typing experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred
- Medical candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting are preferred
