Job Summary
Locate patients, obtain vital signs, triage, and assess medical conditions while preparing individuals for physician and nurse examinations. Perform phlebotomy procedures, order lab and x-ray supplies, and notify staff when patients are ready for treatment. Assist with patient care, handle requests respectfully, and maintain treatment area cleanliness per OSHA guidelines. Sterilize instruments, restock rooms, and manage laundry operations. Operate medical equipment, complete assigned checklists, and attend scheduled meetings. Report to the Charge Nurse before shift end and remain available for interruptions to support center operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum typing experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred
- Medical candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting are preferred
