Job Summary
Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist providing venipuncture and extended scope care (non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vaccines, PPD tests, swabs) for a primary care patient population, with in-office and virtual support. You’ll perform specimen collection and processing, maintain labeling/handling/inventory, and assist providers and the virtual medical team with clerical duties and chart review. Responsibilities include patient communication, biometric screening forms, and interacting with the team through 1Life EMR and collaboration tools (Slack, G-suite, Zoom). In-person, 40-hour work week at Phoenix offices; strong teamwork and patient-centered care emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a postsecondary Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES) OR completed Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces OR possess Medical Assistant certification from a certifying organization accredited by NCCA or ANSI
- At least 6 months of relevant Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist experience outside training/externship
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology including typing, internet navigation, and using multiple software systems
- Experience with collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams; remote teams a plus
- Bilingual Spanish/English verbal and written communication preferred (English required)
- Phlebotomy experience and/or certification preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- In-person, full-time role based in Phoenix, AZ; 40 hours/week
