Job Summary
Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist needed for a 3-day blood draw event across Louisville, KY; responsibilities include blood collection from adult and pediatric patients using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary puncture using heel and fingerstick; labeling specimens; instructing patients on urine and stool collection; data entry of accessioning data; preparing specimens for send-out testing; inventorying supplies and setting up phlebotomy stations; maintaining patient confidentiality; requires a strong phlebotomy background; two years of phlebotomy experience; High School diploma or GED with on-the-job training; certification from an accredited phlebotomy diploma program preferred; pay up to $26/hour.
