Job Summary
Perform high-volume phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions, set up and stock blood drawing stations, and ensure lab specimens are sent correctly. Document patient care services via daily logs, electronic medical records, and outside laboratory forms while entering lab data and printing labels. Check patients in and out, answer phones, schedule appointments, collect payments, and assist with procedures by taking vital signs and obtaining height and weight. Maintain patient medical records and clean, stock rooms, and care for equipment per manufacturer and OSHA guidelines. Work Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM with weekend rotations and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- High school diploma
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM and every other weekend 6:45AM to 12:00 PM, including a holiday rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a certified or formal medical training program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
