Job Summary
Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations in a pediatric urgent care setting. Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare patients for X-rays. Perform and document routine labs, including throat and urine cultures, assist with wound irrigation, and help patients in distress by notifying the medical team. Keep exam rooms and the waiting area stocked and clean while maintaining patient confidentiality. Assist with service recovery for complaints and perform other duties as needed, including applying splints.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
