Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a pediatric urgent care setting providing clinical and administrative support, including greeting/registering patients, obtaining medical history and vitals, preparing patients for X-rays, performing routine labs (throat/urine cultures; venipuncture experience preferred), wound care assistance, lab quality control, and maintaining exam rooms and waiting areas while upholding confidentiality and patient care standards. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced pediatric environment; role supports providers under physician supervision. Compensation ranges from $17 to $27 per hour; benefits and EEO statements included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior pediatric experience
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
