Job Summary
Greet and register arriving patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and perform routine labs including venipuncture and nasal swabs. Assist with wound irrigation, X-ray preparation, and quality control testing while maintaining exam room and waiting room cleanliness. Provide clinical support by applying splints, helping patients in distress, and responding to emergencies by notifying the medical team. Manage front reception operations, ensure adequate supply stocking, and maintain patient confidentiality while following all safety protocols and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
