Job Summary
Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations in a pediatric urgent care setting. Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare patients for X-rays. Perform and document routine labs, including throat and urine cultures, irrigate wounds, and assist with quality control testing. Assist patients with complaints, respond to emergencies, and maintain order in exam rooms and waiting areas while following safety practices and confidentiality policies. Commute flexibly to sister offices in Bridgewater, North Brunswick, and Springfield as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
- Candidates must be open and flexible to commuting to our sister offices, Bridgewater, North Brunswick & Springfield as business needs require and at leadership's request
Desired Qualifications
- venipuncture experience preferred
- Will be a plus if you have experience with medical software
