Job Summary
Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare individuals for X-rays while performing routine labs such as throat and urine cultures. Assist with wound irrigation, apply splints, and document procedures under physician supervision. Maintain exam room and waiting room cleanliness, manage front reception supplies, and respond to patient emergencies by notifying the medical team. Ensure patient confidentiality and follow safety protocols while supporting the patient care team in a pediatric urgent care setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior pediatric experience preferred
