Job Summary
Prepare examination rooms, escort patients, and maintain efficient patient flow while obtaining vital signs and documenting in the EHR. Assist physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, supply stocking, and medication administration. Schedule appointments, take messages, and provide referrals within the Practice Management System. Perform scribing services and demonstrate flexibility with various work schedules. Travel to satellite locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Basic proficiency in computer use
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed
- Physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account
- Physical agility, which includes the ability to maneuver the body while in place
- Dexterity of hands and fingers
- Endurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking)
- Understands and performs within the scope of practice
