Job Summary
Medical Assistant I at Honor Community Health is a full-time, non-exempt role supporting clinicians in delivering patient-centered medical care across multiple centers. Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, assisting clinicians, completing general office duties and patient records, and monitoring clinical processes. The role requires completing a competency-based Medical Assistant training program (LPN/EMT/ER Tech/paramedic certifications may be considered), maintaining BLS, strong computer and EMR skills, and delivering a compassionate patient experience in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel between locations as needed. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Competency-based Medical Assistant training program completion
- May have LPN, EMT, ER Tech, paramedic certification and relevant experience
- Must maintain BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
- 3+ months in a similar clinical position
- Strong computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred) and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Compassionate and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to create an excellent patient experience
- Must be willing to work between other locations when needed
