Job Summary
Medical Assistant for pediatrics at Santo Niño Health Center in Burbank, CA. Responsible for both front and back office duties, including patient check-in, scheduling, vital signs, medical histories, room preparation, assisting providers, administering medications/injections, collecting specimens, operating diagnostic equipment (EKG, ICG, PFT), processing prescriptions and referrals, and maintaining HIPAA/compliance. Cross-trained across departments and proficient in EHR documentation and scribe support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certificate or diploma required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Experience with EHR systems and standard office equipment preferred
- Ability to work professionally with patients, providers, and staff
- Bilingual preferred (if applicable)
