Job Summary
Assist physicians, PAs, and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and procedures. Prepare examination rooms, obtain vital signs, and document accurately in the EHR and PMS. Manage appointment scheduling, stock supplies, and reconcile encounters daily. Communicate with patients and answer phones while adhering to universal safety precautions. Provide scribing services and facilitate transitions of care to UCC or hospital. Maintain proficiency with departmental equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate/GED / Equivalent Work or Vocational / Technical School / Diploma
- 0-1 year related work experience
- Medical Assistant certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Basic proficiency in computer use
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed
- Travel to satellite locations as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree's preferred
- 2-4 years related work experience
- EMT considered
