Job Summary
Assist physicians, nurses, and medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under physician direction. Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, and prepare treatment rooms for patient exams. Escort patients, interview them to obtain medical histories, and measure vital signs including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Document patient history, vital statistics, and test results in medical files while cleaning and sterilizing equipment. Maintain confidentiality following HIPAA and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment. Work onsite daily; overtime may be required to meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- At least One (1) or more years of experience and knowledge working as a Medical Assistant
- Active and unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in California
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be detail oriented
- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Must be able to prioritize workload
- Must remain flexible
- Ability to maintain confidentiality following HIPAA
- Demonstration of mature judgment
